Welkom bij de Cheese Town Trophy, een internationaal dansevenement waar passie, elegantie en vakmanschap samenkomen. The passion for dance sports is at the heart of this event, where dancers have the opportunity to bring their talent and emotions to life. We believe in the power of dance as a universal language that brings people together, regardless of background or skill level.
What makes this event unique?
The venue is located in the internationally renowned Kees Kist Lounge at the AZ Stadium, which can accommodate 1,700 visitors and has two bars. There is one competition floor measuring at least 10 x 20 metres and one practice area measuring 10 x 16 metres. The competition, which is open to amateur, professional and Pro-Am participants of all levels, is organised under the auspices of the following association: WDC which guarantees a jury with thorough professional knowledge that is recognised internationally. Drawing on many years of experience in competitive dancing, the organisation has developed an optimal format for dancers, with a preparation area featuring a floor identical to the competition floor. The Kees Kist Lounge at the AZ Stadium in Alkmaar provides the backdrop for a complete experience: from dazzling matches to exclusive VIP experiences and a special in dance floor where dancers can prepare to the fullest. The atmosphere created makes every dance lover feel right at home.

Thanks to the collaboration with renowned bodies from all dance association WDC in the Netherlands and a high-level professional jury, a professional and fair competition is guaranteed.
Our Mission
The goal is to take the ballroom and Latin dance culture to the next level and organize an event in which both participants and spectators are immersed in world dance.This event provides a stage for amateur, professional, pro-am, junior and senior dancers to showcase their talents and further develop themselves in an inspiring and atmospheric environment.
Hans Kruimer - the initiator
De Cheese Town Trophy wordt georganiseerd door Hans Kruimer, een gepassioneerde dansliefhebber, volledig gediplomeerd FDO met een diepgewortelde liefde voor de sport. Met jarenlange ervaring in de danswereld, met een groot opgebouwd netwerk, streeft hij ernaar om een evenement te creëren dat niet alleen een wedstrijd is, maar ook een viering van dans als kunstvorm.
